Hat-trick for Salwan Boys Senior Sec. School, Delhi

Mumbai, 16 April 2014: Budding star Saurav Dagar’s ton helped Salwan Boys Senior Sec. School, Delhi beat Kiddys Corner Higher Sec. School, Gwalior by 134 runs in Coca-Cola Cricket Cup U-16 inter-state tournament, played at Police Gymkhana ground.

 

Fielding first after winning the toss, Kiddys Corner Higher Sec. School, Gwalior could not penetrate the batting line-up because of their poor bowling. Salwan Boys’ Saurav Dagar (100), Shivam Chauhan (76) and Dipesh Nailwal (48) took the Delhi school’s score to mammoth 299 runs. Atul Kushwaha from Gwalior School was the most successful bowler with 3 wickets.

 

In reply, batting line-up of Gwalior School collapsed at a meager score of 165 as opponents’ Prashant Vashishth and Alizan Alam took 3 wickets each.

 

Saurav Dagar was adjudged the Man of the Match for his century. 

 

In another match, Al. Barkat Malik M. I. English School, Mumbai won the match by 1 runs against Sports College, Lucknow (UP). While, St. Jones Jr. College, Hyderabad beat Dehinagar K..C.R. Vidya Pith, West Bengal by 40 runs. 

 

In the final match of the day, DAV Sr.Secondary School, Chandigarh, Punjab won their first match of the tournament against Don Bosco Marticulation Higher Secondary School, Tamil Nadu by 61 runs on the second day of Coca-Cola Cricket Cup, Inter State leg.
